Greetings everyone! Holly here, and I’m chomping at the bit to get back to the farm… Asparagus season is coming soon. I can’t believe that nearly a year has passed since I started my first asparagus harvest at Roots Run Deep! Thanks to Tom Farrer for his wonderful tutelage, I feel totally excited about and confident in taking on my first full asparagus harvest this April-June 2026. I look forward to bringing you fresh, delicious, and oh so tender asparagus from Root Run Deep. 

Last year, most of my sales were out of my Subaru and delivered to you. This year, you will be able to buy asparagus at the Saturday farmers market, direct from the Roots Run Deep farm store, and by special delivery (minimum purchase required or additional delivery charge - stay tuned for details). 

If you would like to volunteer at the farm and learn how to harvest asparagus, you will be able to take home a few pounds in exchange for your time! I look forward to seeing you all and sharing the farm from April through October 2026. 

So what’s next? I will soon have a website and a system for sending out weekly farm produce updates. As soon as that is ready, I will share it with you. 

Starting in April, I will be planting some annual crops in addition to expanding the perennial footprint of the farm established by Tom Farrer. Stay tuned for the new crop line-up! Yum!
